Connections Between People by L_Walker_M |
| This book is quite good. I thought it was going to be creepy, and morbid; however, I was proven wrong. Hannah's story is about the interconnectedness that exists between people--small and large. Consequences of our actions, and how listening can be one of the hardest things to do. It was refreshing to see a vulnerable male protagonist-- one that is unafraid to cry, rely on others, and to admit to feelings of guilt, shame, and fear. |

Thirteen Reasons Why by nyackschools |
|
In being surprised that I enjoyed this book because when I first heard about it, the plot scared me a little, I turned out to enjoy it greatly. It was not only the creepy plot behind it but also the hidden romance and interesting settings that took place throughout the book. Along with the tapes, Clay was given a map to follow, as Hannah told the thirteen stories of events that lead to her death. This made the book all the more interesting because he was never in the same place for more then a few chapters. The places ranged from old houses of Hannah’s to the ice cream parlor a couple blocks from Clay’s house. Over all I give this book a thumbs ups because I really liked how Jay Asher wrote it and was very descriptive and I also liked the creativity of the plot.
