In summation: Great fight scenes - disappointing ending *le sigh* Gutted! Awesome covers, though, that would make a great 'Top 5 Team Chest' or 'Top 5 Team Back' or even 'Top 5 Team Biceps' heh... by toscanini |
| SPOILER ALERT! Ordinarily, I enjoy Lynn Viehl's books and this one had me - I was so there - until the ending. What the *expletive deleted*? There's an unusual twist on the two heroes take I've never seen. I just - it - no. I can't even begin to voice my thoughts in any cohesive manner. The fact that the heroine begins to fall for two guys - one rough as nails with a penchant for cursing that I found impressive and the other a well-known chef who was a little too slick and sophisticated for my tastes and thinks nothing of intruding on her thoughts - just confused me, and then to find that she can have them both after all as a two-for-one deal. No emotional issues? No hang ups? No drama? What?! Make believe. They do generate some heat, though, no denying that. What is with those creepy paedophile-undertones? Or is that just me? Perhaps it's just me. In summation: Great fight scenes - disappointing ending *le sigh* Gutted! Awesome covers, though, that would make a great 'Top 5 Team Chest' or 'Top 5 Team Back' or even 'Top 5 Team Biceps' heh. |
