'Deadly Stakes' by J.A. Jance by thorntn |
| When the ex-wife (Gemma)of a now poor doctor is found dead in the desert by a young high school boy (AJ) he texts 911 on the mobile phone beside her and runs away. He had come to the desert to dig up something valuable his ex-con father had told him about. Then his father's boy is found shot not far from the dead womans body. Now he and the Dr's new partner Lynn find themselves as suspects in the murders. Lynn's mother Beatrice calls on Ali Reynolds to help her find the true killer.
As always this book was well written and very suspenseful. Lots of clues and mis clues. Enjoyed it. |
