Review by Denver Patron |
| So much better than the highly praised "Capote." This film is much wittier and much more visually interesting, and the acting is terrific. Too bad it was overshadowed by the slightly earlier film. The director's commentary is also illuminating. Highly recommended!
--------------
This movie was eclipsed by the other movie on Truman Capote's life because of poor release timing (it was released later in the year and all the 'hoopla' went to the other movie.) I liked this version a lot better than the other one and it's a true shame Toby Jones wasn't recognized for his fantastic acting ability.
--------------
Totally agree with Rachel's review. Saw Infamous first then Capote and was really disappointed with Capote. The director's commentary was fascinating.
--------------
I preferred "Capote." Having read a lot about Truman Capote, this movie just doesn't quite make it. If you can only choose one, watch "Capote." |
