| Doctorow may have written this being a tinge over paranoid, but this turned out to be excellent fiction of how Homeland Security and authoritarian policy overtook America and how a couple of teenagers use hacking and good timing to overcome the obsession of control.

After the first chapter, I felt like I'd known Marcus all my life and the streets of San Francisco even longer. Although sometimes when Marcus is explaining the tech-savvy apps, I was a bit lost and had to reread it. But this doesn't hinder the brilliance of this book in any way--rather, it made it even more amazing, what with all the little background info I could check up on. Overall, this was an excellent book, great for sneaking a couple pages during class or poring over long into the night, especially if you love great action
