North of Beautiful by nyackschools |
| What is the true meaning of beauty? We all grew up thinking that wearing makeup and wearing fancy brand names is the definition of beauty. However, beauty is more than that. Beauty is your personality, being yourself and not what other people expect of you. Beauty is more about your flaws.
Terra cooper has been hiding her secret her whole life. Being disguised with a mask of makeup and exercising to meet with her football player boyfriend’s standards. Everything is the same routine for her, keeping her grades, job, and spending time with friends, even dealing with her controlling father.
Terra decides she wants to take over her life, make her own decisions. Terra finds herself in unplanned situations and can’t decide what to do. When she meets Jacob, her whole life turns around. How far will terra go to find herself? How far will she go to find true beauty?
“North of Beautiful” by Justina Chen Headley, wrote a novel about the true definition of beauty, how being over controlling a ruin a person, and a quest to find your true self. I loved this book! There’s a perfect blend of romance and new exciting characters that come and go through out the book. This book is for anyone who’s interested in romance or a life’s journey.
